Porsche revealed the 2013 Boxster and the Boxster S

Porsche revealed the 2013 Boxster and the Boxster S yesterday. The first one is more powerful, but in the same time lighter than its predecessor. The carmaker declared that both models feature a new re-designed body and chassis. The 2013 Boxster has a wider track, larger wheels and also longer wheelbase. It features a new windscreen and a flatter body and this might improve the characteristics of the aerodynamics. The interior of the model offers more room for all occupants and also a more ergonomic center console. The 2013 Porsche Boxster features a 2.7-liter flat 6-cylinder engine that can deliver 265 horsepower. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds. The Boxster S features a 3.4-liter flat-six engine that delivers 315 horsepower and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.0-liter. Both models come with a direct gasoline injection, energy recuperation and thermal management. The 2013 Boxster range sends the power to the wheels through a six-speed manual transmission, but the carmaker also offers the PDK transmission as an option. The model runs on 18-inch alloy wheels and it features a CD sound system with a 7-inch color touch-screen control, MP3 connectivity and Alcantara. The Boxster S runs on 19-inch alloys and also some leather for the interior.
The price for the 2013 Boxster starts at EUR 48.291 and it starts at EUR 59.120 for the Boxster S. The range will go on sale this April.
