BMW introduced four M models

German carmaker introduced today its M Performance vehicles, four diesel-powered M models. But now let's talk about the X5 M50d. It is powered by a 3.0-liter L6 tri-turbo engine that is capable of producing 381 horsepower and 740 Nm of torque. In terms of fuel efficiency, you should know that it needs 7.5-liters per 100 km. The power is being sent to the wheels through an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission. With all these, the X5 model is actually the second fastest diesel SUV on the market, right after the X6. It seems that it only needs 5.4 seconds to accelerate to 100 km/h. The X5M needs 4.7 seconds to do the same thing. Now, the big question is what can the tuning companies do for this kind of cars, with this kind of engine? In March, in Geneva at the Auto Show, BMW will launch its M models. Also you should know that they will not be offered to the US market. The German market price is EUR 82.300.
