The Jaguar XJ220 that was built between 1992 and 1994 is celebration 20 years of life. The model is one of the fastest ever built being able to reach a top speed of 217 mph. The project started out of passion and the group was called "The Saturday Club". They used to meet after-hours and on weekends to work. Jim Randle, Jaguar's chief engineer as part of the group, started focusing his attention towards the Ferrari F40 and the Porsche 959, the cars that he marked as competition. The first XJ220 appeared as a concept car that was revealed to the public at the British Motor Show back in 1988. The model was powered by a 6.2-liter V12 4-valves engine that was capable of developing 510 PS. The model was equipped with all-wheel-drive system developed by FF Developments. Getting closer to production, the carmaker made some modifications and so, the V12 was replaced with a Tom Walkinshaw 3.5-liter V6 engine. This new one was capable of producing 550 horsepower and 476 lb. ft. of torque.
