Mazda has no rest and now is trying to develop the chassis and mechanical hardware of the next generation "6" sedan. The model looks a lot like the Takeri concept car that was displayed at the last 2011 Motor Show that took place in November. We have high hopes that the production version of the model will not be a lot different from the concept. Its design might indicate that the Mazda6 will be the second production car that uses the Skyactive program to its full extend, after the CX-5 CUV. Apparently the model will have 100 kg less than the current version. This was possible thanks to the new chassis and mechanical components and the bonding techniques. The engines available are a 2.0-liter gasoline and a 2.2-liter diesel with a two-stage turbocharger. The power is being sent to the wheels through a six-speed manual or automatic transmission.
