Called the Shooting Brake, the second generation of the CLS sports sedan is going to have an equally. The latest spy photographs have revaled the sleek-looking estate model while it was undergoing winter testing in Europe. The car has been spy photographed before and now it has showed the burgundy shade of its lightly camouflaged body. As compared to its E-Class Estate sibling, the CLS Shooting Brake seems to be less spacious, but provides a larger boot together with an increased practicality over the CLS sedan, without compromising the latter's elegant lines.
In terms of design, no major changes have been applied to the estate version of the CLS since it was presented as a concept car in 2010. The Shooting Break is scheduled to go on sale towards the end of the year or early 2013, comprising an engine lineup that that is likely to mirror its sedan counterpart and offering customers the possibility to choose between a 2.2-liter turbo diesel with 204 HP for Europe and a 5.5-liter bi-turbocharged V8 with 557 HP and 800 Nm of torque for the CLS 63 AMG. The CLS Shooting Break is expected to be introduced at next month's Geneva Motor Show, although the Paris Auto Show in September sounds more likely.
