The whole four-door coupe phenomenon that has established the basis of a completely new market, was created by the first generation Mercedes-Benz CLS-class. However, the CLS has been forced to bring something new in the picture due to the fact that Porsche, BMW and Audi are all having their versions on the market. Thus, the CLS shooting brake or estate is going to hit the market later this year. The spy photographs in the gallery below reveal a concept version that was presented to the public in 2010 and the reaction received from the public was a positive one. In the spy shots, the car is in ita final stages of road testing and it seems that a five-meter long estate featuring an arched roofline is making its way. The reason why the spy photographers were able to spot so many test vehicles in one place is probably because the range of engines will likely be very similar to that of the CLS four-door. The CLS350 featuring the 3.5-liter V6 that delivers 306 HP is expected to be the first in the range. For those customers who want more speed, the twin-turbo V8 of the CLS550 with an output of 402 HP and 443 Nm of peak torque, would be a more appropriate choice.
