Chevy Trailblazer is investigated for door fire

A possible fire hazard in the driver side door has led to an investigation that deals with no more than 309,000 Chevrolet Trailblazers of the 2006 and 2007 model year, a piece of news which is not likely to cheer all the current Chevy Trailblazer owners who will probably not have permission to buy the new generation in the US. According to NHTSA, some circuits of the system or a switch in the power window mechanism are most likely to have caused these fires. However, an identical investigation has recently been issued for the 2007 Toyota Camry and RAV4, more exactly 830,000 of them. NHTSA further informed that a dozen of incidents had already happened in the real world and 10 of them had involved actual fires which lightly damaged seats and melted door parts, but not the entire SUV. So far, no reports of injuries have been received.
