Although Peugeot does not seem to be able to obtain profits out of cars it manufactures in France, it still manages to maintain itself as European. While the coming of the GTi makes it look good in the supermini segment, the new 208 is considered to be much better looking and lighter as compared to the 207 that it replaces. But the only other Peugeot that enthusiasts really like is embodied by the Mitsubishi ASX based 4008 crossover, which features a fresh-looking interior, lots of chrome, as well as a floating grille. Thus, the French carmaker has recently launched a series of new photos of the crossover just ahead of its international debut at next month's Geneva Motor Show. The vehicle will be offered with a two diesels and two petrol engines. The diesel range starts with Peugeot's 1.6-liter Hdi with 115 HP and it integrates a 1.8-liter Hdi which delivers 150 HP, also being expected to be the pick of the range. While the base model is a 1.6-liter with 115 HP, there is also a 2.0-liter producing 150 bhp, paired to either a CVT or a five-speed manual.
