Range Rover Evoque was caught on the road

The conceptual Range Rover Evoque Convertible had some images revealed by Land Rover on Friday, but what captures the car fans' attention is the first view of the drop-top crossover on the road on the streets of London. According to the British company, the Range Rover Evoque study is going to be displayed at next month's Geneva Motor Show, aiming to test the potential for a production version, which will not take too much time to be developed and hit the showrooms in case it is approved. Gerry McGovern, Land Rover Design Director, commented on the concept model that it lent itself beautifully to the idea of a convertible and the study was not a traditional convertible design execution. Instead, they worked with the balance of the Evoque's lines in order to retain its distinctive shape and obtain something that would be considered to be unique and highly desirable. He added that the study was based on the three-door Evoque and was able to provide space for four passengers. It incorporated an electrically operated cloth top, featuring the roof mechanism stowed neatly below the belt-line and a Roll Over Protection System.
