New photos of the 2013 Volvo V40 hit the web

The new Volvo V40 hatchback provides the car enthusiasts with a continuous flow of official images which give the most comprehensive look at the V40 to date. Analysing the exterior, it is quite obvious that the new five-door compact model makes use of the Swedish firm's design DNA featuring a shape that brings the image of Volvo's crossover models like the XC60 and XC90. These latest images further offer an image of the vehicle's interior, where details like the sudio system controls, the air-conditioning and the shape of the center console, make it an undistinguishable Volvo. However, the engineers of the famous Swedish brand added a rather futuristic looking instrument panel into the mix. Some documents that were leaked last week, were informing that the dimensions of the Volvo's premium hatchback were 4,500 mm of length, which represents 20 mm less than the V50 station wagon, but longer than its competitors like the BMW 1-Series five-door model. A choice of four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines will be offered with the new V40, but, unfortuntalely, no other details were released. The vehicle will have its international debut at the 82nd Geneva International Geneva Show in March and it is planned to hit the markets later in the year.
