Usually, high-powered Mercedes cars, which can smoke their tires with a stroke of the pedal, are associated with the name Brabus. The aim of Brabus when getting its hands on the Smart ForTwo, was to transform the little two-seater into a pocket-rocket. Based on the all-electric, zero emissions version of the ForTwo, the latest model which bears the Brabus moniker, will emit no smoke whatsoever, not from its exhaust or its tires because it is an electric drive. Annette Winkler, Smart boss, stated that the smart BRABUS electric drive represented their sports car with a green heart as electric driving in the city was more fun than ever due to the 2.69 metre short bundle of power. A slightly more powerful electric motor that delivers 80 HP together with 135 Nm of torque, while a sporty sound is generated by a sound module. On the exterior, the black body is enhanced by the "electric" green finish on the Tridion safety cell and the door mirror caps with the car also boasting a rear apron insert, a front spoiler, 16-inch front and 17-inch rear Brabus "Monoblock VII" alloys, as well as smoked headlights. The interior provides high levels of comfort and driving pleasure with the instrument panel, gearlever surround, door handles and speaker surrounds, which are painted in electric green color and the sporty look is beautifully completed by Brabus Xclusive accessories, such as black leather seats, stainless steel sports pedals and handbrake lever. Beginning with the end of the year, the new Smart Brabus electric drive will be available to enthusiast customers.
