2013 BMW 7-Series Facelift was spy photographed

As Mercedes is about to launch its next S-Class, BMW had to find a way to keep up with the improvement and development of the 7-Series. The latest spy photographs have captured a prototype version of the 2013 7-Series facelift while the car was undergoing some winter testing on a specially designed winter track in icy Scandinavia. The masked up headlights make the obvious switch to full LED and the new bumpers on the car resemble the F30 3-Series, thus showing the minimal exterior changes, which are also minimal. The indicators were modeved to the top of these and are also LED. The introduction of the new eight-speed automatic built by ZF, represents the biggest technical change, replacing the current seven-speed unit. The 7-Series is likely to make its public appearance at the 2012 Beijing Auto Show in April as the facelift could not been seen in Geneva.
