VW Jetta will not be sold in North America

German carmaker Volkswagen started working on a compact sedan, the Jetta CC. different sources say there is almost no chance of seeing this model on the North American market. The reason seems to be the price. The North American Passat is cheaper. The US customers will have to pay $16.645 for the current Jetta, butyl in Mexico and only $19.995 for the Passat. The Passat CC built in Germany costs $30.610. Anyway, if the carmaker will receive all the approvals it needs, the Jetta CC will appear on the European market and in China in around three years. The compact sport sedan will have as base the same MQB platform like the next Golf.
