Stompy Project Hexapod is ready

The Robotics Intensive class at Artisan's Asylum in Boston developed a very interesting project, called the Stompy the Rideable Hexapod. It has six hydraulic legs powered by a 135 horsepower propane-fueled forklift engine. The model is capable has a two-seat capacity and the passengers can walk over cars while inside. The chances of this weird creation to coming to life are quite high as one of the people working in the development project actually worked on a 4-legged pack robot to help soldiers with heavy loads. The rest of the team also has rich backgrounds in open-source software and robotics and so chances grow. The only big issue now it funding, but there is a solution. The team will organize a Kickstart campaign in August hoping it will raise enough money.
