Some spy photographers in Germany have spotted the Mercedes-Benz CLA on the road, riding on an extended version of the new A-Class hatchback's modular MFA platform with which it is planned to share its powertrain lineup. The eye-catching car model was initially known as the Mercedes-Benz CLC, but the Stuttgart automaker's design boss revealed the CLA name. The car was under black camouflage and it represents the production version of the well-received Concept Style Coupe, which was presented by Mercedes less than a month ago. Regarding the available engines, several turbocharged four-cylinder units will be included, while in markets like Europe, the diesels will be available, completed by a 2.0-liter AMG variant that delivers a power output of 320 HP and boasts an all-wheel drive system. The sales of the new CLA will start next year both in Europe and North America.
