The rival Jaguar XS 3-Series was rendered

The recent facelift and the addition of the 2.2-liter diesel to the Jaguar XF have made the car a genuine one, becoming worth buying more than ever. Jaguar is planning to take away the BMW's crown, as the BMW 3-Series has been the benchmark in its segment for the last decade. The price premium of the car, which will be currently known as the XS, will be worth it due to its sense of occasion when driven, one which will ne unequaled by any of its rivals. Being set to underpin the future replacement for the current XF, the car is expected to be based on the Premium Lightweight Architecture (PLA), while the XS' line-up may be made of a combination of Evoque and XF engines. This implies that they are going to range from the 2.0-liter turbocharged unit found in the Evoque, the 2.2-liter diesel which has recently been given to the XF's line-up, followed by the 3.0-liter diesel which powers the XJ and XF, and, ultimately, there is the possibility of introducing one of Jaguar's new engines, featuring a supercharged V6. Jaguar can undoubtedly have a winner on their hands if the marketing strategy and overall perceived quality of the car do not have any mistakes, as there are people who wish to purchase a prestige compact-exec, but not from the Germans.
