Ferrari will auction a 599XX Evo

Unfortunately everyone heard of the devastating earthquake that took place in Italy a few days ago. Apparently Ferrari wants to help somehow and came up with an idea. The carmaker will hold an online auction next week to help the victims. The auction will include a EUR1.3 million 599XX Evo. The engine of this model is capable of developing 750 PS and 700 Nm of torque. The vehicle features a package of performance-enhancing technical elements for the development and track-based research program for the 2012-2013 seasons. Apart from the supercar, Ferrari will auction off racing suits and helmets belonging to Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa. In the auction there will be also a selection from the Ferrari Store, including Prancing Horse watches. The Ferrari enthusiasts offered their support as soon as news about the earthquake was made public. Ferrari clients and collectors have shown their interest in many of the products auctioned this way offering their contribution to the least fortunate. This is another situation where the generosity of the fans and enthusiasts will enable the carmaker to provide help and financial support to the ones that were part of this big tragedy. From the same category, the Ferrari team made demonstrations of solidarity these last few years. For example it managed to build two after-school facilities in Japan, in Ishinomaki to be more precise as a result of the disasters that happened last year and also offered its contribution to the reconstruction in the Abruzzo after the earthquake. For Japan, the carmaker donated 80 million yen last year. For sure, this auction will also be a success and help will come fast for the ones in need.
