The first SRT Viper raised $300.000

During the Barrett-Jackson Orange County auction, the first SRT Viper managed to raise $300.000. All the money will be donated to the Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer, a dedicated team which helps and offers support to children and families affected by childhood cancer. A lot of bidders were hoping to get the 2013 Viper, but just one did. Anyway the most important thing is that a worthy cause will benefit from the sale of the first Viper. Beth Paretta, director of operations for SRT brand and SRT Motorsports expressed her excitement regarding the money raised and the fact that the entire amount will be sent to charity to support such an incredible cause. The lucky owner is not the only winner in this story, but the children also and their families. The charity helps assisting children and families affected by this terrible disease. The goal of this foundation is to improve the quality of life both for patients and their families, but this could not be possible without the generous donations of others. Dr. Jim Osborne, Chairman of the Austin Hatcher Foundation of Pediatric cancer also presented its gratitude towards the carmaker for its 2013 Viper and the entire opportunity. The owner will receive his car a little later, after production begins. This new car will actually be the first VIN of the new production series. For more information on the charity, visit their webpage. The carmaker did a very generous gesture by donating its first 2013 SRT Viper and the lucky owner did an incredible thing by bidding this incredible sum. When it is for a good cause, it seems that a lot show interest and offer to help. This is the perfect example. Under the hood the model hides an 8.4-liter V10 engine capable of developing 640 horsepower and 814 Nm of torque. All this output is then being sent to the wheels through a 6-speed manual gearbox and a limited-slip differential.
