The Fiat 500X will be presented in Paris

Italian carmaker Fiat presented their 500L model to the press in Turin, Italy, but it seems that this is not all they have for their fans and for the enthusiasts. The 500X small crossover also showed face on the stage. To be more precise, the Fiat 500X is actually the fifth model in the 500 range. The other four are the 500 3-door hatchback, the 500C convertible, the performance versions improved by Abarth and also the 500L 5-door minivan. From the not so very clear pictures, we can see the carmaker offered different elements from an SUV and a hatchback. The styling details bring us into mind the Fiat 500 city car. The 500L minivan shares its underpinning with the new Fiat 500X and different sources indicated that the crossover will be 4.2 meters long. This means it is the largest model in the 500 family. The reason for developing it was to replace the Suzuki SX-4-based Sedici. Customers can choose from a front-wheel drive version of all-wheel drive. Rumor has it that the 500X will be powered by a 1.4-liter gasoline, but also a 1.3-liter diesel engine will be available. The common elements with the 500L include trim-free doors, rounded wheel arches and matte lower trim, all these improving the exterior appearance of the model. Now, the Fiat 500X has a better rear windscreen angle and also different lighting. More information will be revealed in September at the Paris Motor Show and then the carmaker will offer us some more details on their new achievement. The production process will begin before the end of next year, so the ones interested in purchasing one, will have to wait quite a lot until they have the keys.
