The 2012 Chevrolet Captiva has problems

American carmaker Chevrolet developed the Captiva Sport, a model available for American only through the rental car lot. It was a little strange how it has passed almost a year since the launch of the crossover and how news ware not released. Apparently General Motors is having problems with the Chevrolet Captiva Sport, problems regarding a potentially faulty parking brake. It seems that the problems come from the park brake cable which is not fully seated in its connector and may separate from the connector. This is the conclusion the specialists from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration came to. 2.070 owners may have the problem as this is the total number of Chevrolet Captiva Sport affected. To be more precise, the models built between April 26th and May 17th 2012, are the ones with the problems. The recall will begin at the middle of this month and Chevrolet dealers will have to repair and inspect the parking brake cables free of charge for all the affected units. The rental car agencies from America always had a problem with recall-related repair and this is why it is a little interesting to see how long it will take them to fix them. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, if the car is not fixed, the results could be unintended vehicle movement or even a crash. Owners affected can contact dealerships of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration directly.
