Chevrolet delivered 1.3 million vehicles globally this year

American General Motors took a very important decision involving Chevrolet. The specialists want to make the carmaker a true competitor, at least when it comes to sales. In the second quarter of this year, the brand managed to deliver 1.3 million worldwide. This indicates an increase of 2.3% over the last year. This period is the best ever for Chevrolet and the 7th consecutive quarter when it comes to record-braking sales. Chevrolet said they have noticed significant sales increases over the second quarter of 2011 in four of its top five markets. One of them is the North American one with 513.538, which means an increase of 5.2%. The next one is China with a 2.3% being able to sell 141.758 units. Then there is Russia with 57.286 vehicles sold representing 13.4% increase and last, but not least, Mexico with an 11.7% increase with 41.435 units sold. The second biggest market Chevrolet has is Brazil. Here sales have dropped 4.2% and so they only managed to sell 153.759 units. The European side registered a 13.6% increase in sales despite the financial crisis, selling 61.865 cars. The best-sold model is the Chevrolet Cruze. The specialists managed to sell 1.65 million units since its launch and 350.000 units so far this year. The explication for this great numbers is that Chevrolet is delivering high quality products, easy-to-use technologies and incredible designs. This is what all customers expect from their cars according to vice president of global marketing for Chevrolet, Chris Perry declared. The carmaker has a lot of other projects for the rest of the year, so only good things can happen in this second half of 2012. The Spark city car and Malibu mid-size sedan are some of the upcoming model prepared for the North American customers.  For Thailand and other markets Chevrolet prepared the Trailblazer mid-size SUV and Colorado mid-size truck. For Europe, the automaker built the Cruze station wagon and the new Trax small crossover which looks a lot like the Buick Encore and Opel Mokka. Brazil will receive the Spin small MPV.
