For the ones who do not know yet, this is the second plant in China that builds Volkswagen Polo models. This new Yizheng site has a 1.3 million square meters and it is located at about 300 km to the North-West of Shanghai. To function in perfect rhythm, the company will employ 3.700 workers. Inside the plant, the carmaker also developed a technical testing center, advanced training for the new employees through a training academy and an energy center. Last year, Volkswagen sold 2.26 million vehicles in China and in the first quarter of this year, they delivered 1.30 million units. The specialists want to increase the annual production before 2018 to around 4 million units.
