BMW sets new record in terms of sales

The German BMW Group that includes the BMW, MINI and Rolls Royce brands managed to deliver over one million units in the first seven months of the year. This is the first time in its history the specialists sold 1.036.088 cars, to be more precise, recording a 7.6 % increase over the same period last year. Back then, only 962.493 models have found their owner. The Bavarian specialists also reported a new record for July, when they sold and delivered 135.537 cars. This number indicates an increase of 5.0 % in comparison with the same period, last year.

It seems that the company received a lot of help from Asia during the first seven months of the year as sales increased by 25.0 % to 274.058 units. In Europe deliveries remained stable at 499.749, just with a small 0.4 % drop. The American customers were also very active starting January and all the way to July as sales increased by 8.0 % to 227.696 cars. The North American customers bought 185.715 units. This means an increase of 9.5 %. The BMW Group achieved incredible growth in Russia with 16.8 %, the Middle East with 31.3 % and South Africa with 18.9 %. Worldwide sales of the BMW brand were up 7.7 % and MINI recorded a close 7.3 % growth.

The specialists see a bright future for the company as their new models the BMW 6-Series Gran Coupe for example, was very well received. This month, the carmaker will reveal for the first time the BMW 7-Series and the X1 which will bring more success for the brand. The reaction of the customers will tell a lot, but we will have to wait a bit more to see it.
