The production of the Skoda Rapid will begin at Mlada Boleslav factory

The production of the Skoda Rapid sedan has officially started in the Czech Repiblic, more exactly at the Mlada Boleslav factory, which is also known as Skoda's home factory. It appears that the famous carmaker is making its way to the Paris Motor Show. The Rapid aims to reach those customers who do not wish to sacrifice too much practicality or space and need something cheaper and smaller than an Octavia. Skoda also hopes that the Rapis, which is a small Fabia-sized sedan, will build upon the massive success of the Octavia. A very wide range of VW-sourced engines is available for the Rapid, integrating the 1.2-liter 75 HP petrol engine, the 1.4-liter TSI which raises an output of 122 HP, while the 1.6-liter TDI engine, in various states of tune, will definitely please the diesel fans. The pricing of the Skoda Rapid has not been made public yet, but it is expected to be an affordable one as the carmaker's price/quality ratio is one that is unrivaled.
