US customers will receive a facelift version of the 2014 Kia Cadenza

Three years ago, Kia showed us for the first time their new K7 sedan and offered it for sale on the South Korean market and different other regions as the Cadenza. The specialists planed to introduce it on the North American and Canadian market in 2011, but things went a little different and the model was nowhere to be found. Back then, different people spotted a very different and hard to distinguish version of the Kia Cadenza in the States on the highway. Even though, the carmaker is trying very hard to keep different information on the model in the dark, different rumors indicate the fact that the new Kia Cadenza will be available for sale as a 2014 model for the North American customers. In the photo gallery below you can admire the Cadenza prototype a little bit covered, but still, you can see what we are talking about. For the untrained eye, the difference between the new K7 and the current model found on the market seems to be quite small. At a closer look, the differences start to appear. For example the new Kia Cadenza features a completely new set of headlamps with two round light fixtures. Because of the heavy camouflage in the front, we might have to deal with more styling changes to the entire front. The rear does not seem to be forgotten either. Of course, this is nothing special or unexpected as when it will go on sale in the States this will be its fourth year of existence. Kia developed it as a replacement to the Amanti and stands between the rear-wheel drive Quoris and the Optima. These two will also be available on the American market next years. The new Kia Cadenza uses the same mechanical and platform hardware as the new Hyundai Azera. This means, the model might be offered with the same 3.3-liter V6 engine capable of developing 293 horsepower. This output is being sent to the front wheels through a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
