The BMW M Performance Accessories division have something to show in Paris

Before the end of this month, on the 27th, to be more precise, the well-know event, the 2012 Paris Motor Show, will take place. Here Bavarian carmaker BMW will present different new products from the BMW M Performance Accessories division. We will have the opportunity to see parts of the 1-Series 3-door hatchback and 3-series Touring, which were launched not long ago. The specialists will also premier a power kit for models equipped with the 2.0-liter 4-cylinder common rail diesel engine, so the ones interested in improving their cars, should be very attentive at the options the carmaker is offering.

The first product is the M Performance Power Kit developed especially for the 120d, 320d and the 520d model. The list continues with a reprogrammed engine control units and a bigger charge air cooler that increased the output of the 2.0-liter diesel from 181 horsepower to 197 horsepower and from 379 Nm of torque to 420 Nm of torque. Thanks to the power boost, the models were enabled to improve their 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time by up to 1.0 seconds. This does not mean the fuel consumption level modifies not the CO2 emission figures. For both the 1-Series 3-door hatchback and the 3-Series Touring the M Performance kit also includes retrofit components when it comes to driving, aerodynamics, suspension and cockpit. All these will be available for purchase before the end of this year. To be more precise, the engineers offer exterior mirror caps in carbon finish, diffuser inserts for the rear apron and last, but not least side sill foliations that have the M-Performance inscription. A lot of surprises will wait for us at the BMW stand at the Paris Motor Show, so stay close to find out more details ahead of the grand event that will take place this month.
