Jaguar revealed the F-Type together with its price for the UK market

This year at the Paris Motor Show, Jaguar will manage to attract a lot of attention, for sure. The Jaguar F-Type will be the guilty pleasure, which fans, enthusiasts and possible customers will simply eat with their sights. We had the opportunity to see this front-engine, rear-wheel drive convertible for the first time last year at the IAA under the C-X16 concept name. It is true, the concept was actually a coupe and the F-Type is a soft top convertible, but the rest is very similar. It has an angular grille and not an oval one trying to change the tradition. It has a 1+1 configuration, but of course, the passenger seat is almost useless. The cabin was developed to satisfy the needs of the driver and this is why its space is very well focused around him. To keep weight as low as possible, the chassis and the body work are made of aluminum. The rigidity on the other hand increased by 30% in key areas, in comparison with any other model developed by Jaguar. It will be launched in three versions: F-Type, F-Type S and last we have the F-Type V8 S. Now, the first two units will be powered by a new force-fed 3.0-liter V6 engine capable of generating 335 horsepower for the base model and 375 horsepower got the S. This output enables the base version to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.1 seconds and the S one in 4.8 seconds. The S model can reach a top speed of 275 km/h. The force-fed V8 unit produces 488 horsepower and 625 Nm of torque. This output enables it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds and to reach a top speed of 300 km/h. No matter the version the outputs are being transferred to the wheels through an 8-speed Quickshift automatic transmission.

The price for the UK customers starts at GBP85.500 for the V6, at GBP67.500 for the V6 S and at GBP79.950 for the V8 S. Deliveries will begin sometime next year. Prices might be lower on the North American market.
