The 2013 Skoda Octavia will be introduced in Geneva next year

This is not the first time you see pictures of the new Skoda Octavia. In the gallery below you can see some more spy pictures, but do not worry, the carmaker plans to reveal it online with no camouflage before its official world debut that plans to take place in Geneva at the Motor Show next year, in March. The first official images of the new generation Skoda Octavia will be revealed sometime next month. It is a bit difficult to take a high-quality photo of the model during a highway run and this is why we have to settle for now with what we have and be patient to get the really good ones in a few weeks. Even so, these last images offer us the possibility to observe details that were not accessible to us so far. For example we can sport the crafty decals situated on the headlights, the fog lamps, and the upper bar of the front grille, the rear combination of lights and also the C-column. Overall, the model has the shape, proportions and styling of a modern Octavia. To be more precise, this new model is a better interpretation of the current model with some differences. The sharper details that can be observed are the profile window line and the front end. Another obvious thing about the new third generation Skoda Octavia is that it has grown in size, probably to fit in the renewed automobile range Skoda has developed, which also now includes the Rapid.

The carmaker uses the MQB platform architecture developed by the German Group VW for the first time on the Skoda Octavia which also receives new petrol and diesel engines. Here we have to mention a 1.4-liter TSI unit that features a cylinder deactivation system. A bit later, the specialists will also present a new model to the range, an estate variant powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that also powered the VW Golf GTI. These are all the details available on the new model so far. carscoop.blogspot
