The 2014 BMW 4-Series Coupe will be revealed in January

The well known BMW 3-Series Coupe might be renamed. According to different rumors, the F30-generation of the 3-Series will be called the 4-Series. We had the opportunity to get some spy photos and see the new model wearing a little camouflage. The new BMW F32 4-Series Coupe was spotted in Germany, in its home town, Munich while it was being loaded to a truck. It seems that it was heading for an internal presentation. Of course, this information cannot be confirmed. Despite the fact that there are not a lot of information available at the moment, Car & Drive magazine reported that the Bavarian manufacturer will present to the public a concept of the new BMW 4-Series Coupe at the Auto Show that will take place in Detroit at the beginning of next year. This concept might actually be the near production concept we were talking about, but to be precise, we will have to wait a bit longer. Even though the name of the fresh model is different, there are a lot of elements borrowed from the 3-Series Sedan. For example, the 4-Series features the flatter and more prominent front end that features the standard double kidney grilles. In the photo gallery you can see a picture of the current 3-Series Coupe found on the market just to see the differences and the similarities between the two. The overall styling and the dimensions remain the same, but the new model series has a lower fascia and a sleeker and sharper looking side window line. Also it seems to have a more rakish rear windshield. The list of new elements continues with a front fender air vent trim, a sport front bumper and twin exhaust pipes at the rear, large alloy wheels an a Sport badge. This means the carmaker will provide the same, trim grades as the 3-Series sedan and Touring models. The engineers will offer the same options in terms of power train and will use a 6-speed manual and an 8-speed automatic transmission to transfer the output to the road. A bit later, the Germans will also introduce a flagship M model that will arrive equipped with a 3.0-liter turbocharged straight-six. carscoop.blogspot
