BMW will use M Performance parts for the 3- and 5-Series models

German carmaker BMW offers new M Performance parts for their BMW 3- and 5-Series models. These accessories we are talking about have been developed in collaboration with BMW M GmbH and are available for sale now in all authorized BMW Centers. The parts available include new aerodynamic and exterior component choices. For example, a new BMW M Performance Front splitter, rocker panel blades, rear spoiler, side stripes and rear diffuser. Extra, the models feature an M Sport Line Retrofit kit, but this is only available for the models that were not originally equipped with M Sport Line. For the interior, the BMW 3-Series receives a stainless steel footrest for the driver, but also a set of stainless steel pedal covers both for models equipped with automatic and manual transmissions. As extra equipment, the models also get BMW M Performance Floor Mats and BMW M Performance Carbon Fiber Parking Brake Handle with Alcantara boot. The best part of the model is the BMW M Performance Electronic Steering Wheel which is now available for cars equipped with the Sport Automatic, Automatic or with a 6-speed manual gearbox.

The cars feature three modes: EfficientDynamics Mode, Sport Mode and Race Mode. The first one indicates the real time fuel efficiency data, water and oil temperatures and an EfficientDynamics Index calculation. The second mode features a built-in stopwatch function, multicolored LED shift lights and water and oil temperatures. The Race mode features a stopwatch function with storage of values for up to 50 lap times, drag-strip simulator and more. The BMW 5 Series also gets a BMW M Performance Carbon Fiber Interior Trim system which is actually available for the models that use both Automatic and 6-speed manual transmissions to send the output to the wheels. The carmaker also provides a new BMW M Performance Suspension Kit that is now available for the new 3-Series Sedan. Customers can now fashion their own 3-Serieas and 5-Series models. autoblog
