Volkswagen Passat Performance Concept is making its way to Detroit Auto Show

Aiming to translate the success of its Golf GTI into a sportier Passat, the famous German carmaker Volkswagen transformed the Chattanooga-built Passat into the "Passat Performance" in order to make an outstanding presence at this year's Detroit Motor Show. Featuring a dual exhaust, LED taillights, revised headlights with Advanced Front Lighting System and 19-inch wheels, this is not a Passat GTI but more like its glorified mid-size cruiser.
Except for a smaller displacement, the newest generation of 1.8-liter TSI which delivers no more than 247 HP, is something interesting to be found under the bonnet.
