Putin is not happy with his limo

We are not sure if you remember, but a few years ago, Russian president Dmitri Medveden has decided he wanted officials to use Russian limousines to walk around and not the German executive sedan everyone knew. Of course, the process meant turning to the ZiL to create a litter worthy of a plutocrat and glorious Russian history. Even if it sounds easy to say, it is not easy at all. The first issue refers to the fact the ZiL stopped making limousines in 1991. The specialists are now developing only trucks and armored military vehicles. As expected, the ZiL were ordered to create a vehicle powered by a V8 that was capable of accelerating to 130 mph and carry three people.  The other request when it came to the car was that it has to represent the best traditions of Soviet limousine building. Last year, the specialists have revealed the model, the ZiL-4112P. The model receives power from a 7.7-liter V8 that is capable of receiving more than 400 horsepower. ZiL director compared their car with the one President Obama drives and he thinks the American presidential car look awful. The new Russian president does not care about the car Obama is driving, but he is just unhappy with the one he is. Putin did not make an official statement saying his reasons, but apparently he is not pleased with the looks of the ZiL 4112P and apparently he will also for an adjustment. The carmaker declared that the president did not receive the 4112P, but another one that was not made public. GAZ and Marussia will have a lot of work to do to please the president now and apparently both companies are working on alternatives to improve the current model. GAZ builds something that has as base the Audi A8 and will be revealed in 2015. Source: autoblog
