Citroen celebrates its WRC winnings

Citroen carmaker has decided to unveil special commemorative diorama to celebrate the success registered in the World Rally Championship of Loeb & Elena. The new model was revealed at the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders. The model has been finished to the highest quality, with the utmost attention to detail. Each rally terrain has a 1:43 scale model of one of the championship-winning cars which go back to 2004 and the Citroen Xsara. In the gallery below you can see that nothing was left to the imagination when it came to its design. The model was built and designed by Kieron Barter of Funky Lemon Design and the entire process took around two months to complete. The specialists have been part of the project even from the beginning. They were there when the initial moulds have been taken and until the final touches have been made, resulting a special and unique piece of art. For the designers, the most attractive part was working with a DS3 to get the mould of the car, or at least this is what they have declared. The explication is quite easy actually. They have been very excited because this was the first time in the presence of the DS3.

The Communication Director at Citroen UK, Marc Raven, stated that Sebastien and Daniel go way back with Citroen and have incredible stories managing to achieve an incredible feat that is unlikely to be replicated. To celebrate their achievements, the carmaker wanted to develop something as unique as their achievements. The specialists were actually very keen to reach for the success of the Citroen DS3 in the World Rally Championship. In the end, they have obtained an incredible piece of art. The carmaker is planning a dealer tour later in the year and later this summer the model will be on show at different events.
