Glancing at the new 2013 Porsche 911 Targa in Northern Europe.

Porsche is a unique company with powerful desires for which building sports cars has become an art. One of the projects they are focusing on now is the 2013 Porsche 911 Targa, the vehicle being expected to make its debut this year. Still in prototype stage, the car has been glanced at while being submitted to testing in Northern Europe.

Porsche 911 Targa is equipped with a hidden retractable center roof section with a center roll bar in front of a fixed, wraparound glass rear window. Or at least that’s what the covered model allowed imagination to see. With this idea, Porsche is rediscovering the retro- style targa hard top, leaving aside the more modern sliding glass roof.

Most probably the Porsche 911 Targa will find resources either in a 3.4-liter with 345 hp (257 kW) and 390 Nm (288 lb-ft) or in a 3.8-liter with 394 hp (294 kW) and 440 Nm (324 lb-ft). The same engines are to be found in the standard Porsche 911 and they will be connected to a seven-speed manual gearbox or a seven-speed PDK.

Many question marks float around the Porsche 911 Targa. Porsche lovers can’t wait for its arrival. But the time or place of its debut is still a secret. It might be this September in Frankfurt.
