Hyundai HND-9 concept revealed in Seoul

The HND-9 is Hyundai’s latest luxury sports coupe which will be presented for the first time at the Seoul Motor Show this year.

The name HND-9 comes from Hyundai’s ninth concept designed by the R&D Center in Namyang, Korea. The car will be equipped with butterfly doors and dual tailpipes. The vehicle is a rear-wheel drive concept with a wide hexagonal front grille and spiral-shaped lines linked to the headlamps.

Hyundai HND-9 will take its power resources from a 3.3-liter turbocharged GDi engine that releases 370 HP (272 kW) which are transferred to the back wheels through an eight-speed automatic gearbox. The same scenario is found in the 2011 Kia GT Concept which had a maximum torque of 394 lb-ft (534 Nm). The HND-9, with its dramatic long hood and wheelbase, is a modern rethinking of the elegant image of a classic premium sports coupe. More details will be offered at the Auto Show in Seoul.
