The new BMW XD3 and B3 are being described by Alpina founder

Alpina was founded sometime in the 1960s and the man who made everything possible, Burkard Bovensiepens wanted o explain the driving philosophy of their operation and presents their latest models. We will now talk about the XD3 Biturbo and the B3, the two models that have been recently revealed at the Geneva Motor Show. Actually, the X3-based XD3 is a very important vehicle for them because, for the ones that did not know it, it is their very first SUV.

Under the hood it hides a 3.0-liter straight-six engine capable of generating 345 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque. The output enables it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds and to reach a top speed of 253 km/h. When it comes to fuel consumption, the model reaches 6.8 liters / 100 km and we have to admit is a bit higher, but we are talking about great performance here. Moving on to the B3, the carmaker offered high level of performance, but the looks are not spectacular. The model has as base the F30 3-Series and under the hood it hides a 3.0-liter straight-six gasoline engine capable of generating 404 horsepower. The founder of Alpina declared that the output mentioned enables the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds and to reach a top speed of 305 km/h, 5 km/h more than the European magical number 300. Just like the other model, this one is also very efficient as it uses only 7.9 liters of fuel for 100 km, which is really impressive if you think about the performance it is capable of. The way the two models were presented proved that Alpina is capable of modifying any BMW with style.
