GM, Ford and Subaru will do a recall on some of their models

It turns out that a new round of recalls will begin soon. The information came from the National Highway traffic Safety Administration and the companies involved are GM, Ford and Subaru. General Motors will start an investigation for the Buick LaCrosse and the Cadillac SRX, Ford will start one for the Focus, the C-MAX, the Escape and other two older models and last, but not least Subaru will also join the club for his Legacy and Outback. These last two models are in fact the subject of two separate recalls. Of course, we will have to wait for the results of the investigations, but we will present the reasons for the recalls in the first place. The 2013 Buick LaCrosse, manufactured starting April 25th 2012, through March 6th 2013 is under surveillance. The other category is the 2013 Cadillac SRX built starting May 29, 2012 until February 18th 2013. These models have to go to the dealership because they have a software problem. This can actually cause the transmission to shift into Sport Mode and so leaving the car with no engine braking. To be more precise, the total number of affected models reaches 26.582.

Let us move to Ford which as to inspect 5.675 models affected of the 2013 Focus, C-MAX and Escape, but also 2004-2007 Freestar and the Mercury Monterey built between 2003 and 2006. The National Highway traffic Safety Administration declared that 196.667 units are affected. For example, the new cars have the child locking mechanism for the rear doors incorrectly installed and so the doors can be opened from inside as well. The older models suffer of corrosion and structural degradation, which actually increases the risk of injury in the event of a rear-end collision. Only a few Legacy and Outback 2012-models have been affected and the fault refers to a wiper motor bottom cover that can overheat and may cause fire. The glass moon roof is also prone to flying off while the car moves.
