Honda Concept C reveals the production version

Honda Concept C is a midsize sedan car especially manufactured for the Chinese market as the C letter from its name shows. More exactly C comes from Cool, Challenge and China. The three C words create the “Dragon” image with strong personality, dynamic look and new design. The Concept version will be produced in China by the Guangzhou-Honda joint venture.

As the leaked pictures of the Honda Concept C shows the production model has a changed image than the concept car presented at the Beijing Auto Show last year. The concept was quite a good looking car but in order to position the Concept C under its cousin Accord the Honda guys need to restyle the overall shape of the framework to the mass production model. Honda Concept C is expected to go on sales in May or June for the Chinese market and it is not certain when it will be exported to other Asian countries.

The first official appearance will be in April at the Shanghai Auto Show. Most probably the Honda Concept C will be fitted with a 1.8 or a 2.0 engine that will deliver the output using a five-speed manual gear box or a five-speed automatic one. With prices converging to 130,000 yuan (21,000 USD) and 170,000 yuan (27,300 USD) the Concept C will compete with premium sedans like the Volkswagen Sagitar and the Citroen C4L.
