Seoul hosts the the Hyundai HND-9 Concept

The main goals of Hyundai, the South Korean company, are to realize the dream of mankind by creating a new future through ingenious thinking and also to challenge new frontiers.  The latest task they accomplished on their way to reach the already mentioned goals is the Hyundai HND-9 Concept. This has just been presented at the Seoul Motor Show.

The HND-9 hints the direction of Hyundai’s next-generation luxury sports coupe and it is a clear illustration of the company’s future design desires. This is the ninth concept of the Asian company and it has the following figures:  4,695mm long, 1,890mm wide and 1,340mm tall, with a 2,860mm wheelbase. The new Hyundai concept represents an evolution of the company’s “fluidic sculpture” design philosophy. It has a longer hood, strong character lines, butterfly doors and a hexagonal shaped grille, a high performance rear wheel drive and dual tailpipes.

The Hyundai HND-9 Concept is equipped with a set of 22 inch alloy wheels made of carbon material and with a futuristic exhaust system made out of dual exhausts on both sides. The inside in spiced by the sporty seats which take up different colours depending on the angle they are watched from.  The HND-9 was designed to deliver a modern, luxurious driving experience. Three key concepts were mixed into the interior design to realize this aim: spiral sculpture, elegance and high-tech interface.

The coupe takes its power from a 3.3-liter GDI turbocharged engine that generates 362 bhp (270 kW) and which is linked to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The target of this creation is Australia which will become the most important market, though the release moment is yet unknown.
