The next generation Nissan GT-R-to be or not to be a hybrid?

The New York International Auto Show hosted these days a great number of car presentations or concept presentations. Among the brands that took part in the show there was the Japanese company, Nissan, too.  They stated that the new Nissan GT-R will be electrifying.

As we all know, an important trend in the present is the growing demand for a cleaner environment. Automakers are developing products that offer more fuel efficiency and less CO2 emissions, from more efficient gasoline-fueled engines to hybrids, clean diesel, electric vehicles and fuel cell vehicles. And maybe this is exactly what the electrifying Nissan GT-R suggests: an environmental friendly electric vehicle.

Nissan North America Branch of the Japanese company admitted that later this year they will provide some news which will surprise and electrify the Nissan GT-R fans in the entire world. This might result in a hybrid version of the next generation vehicle which is scheduled to appear in 2017 or 2018. The car could be equipped with a hybrid powertrain borrowed from the Infiniti Essence concept, or the Infiniti M35h.

For the Japanese company, a car is an important symbol of freedom, status and personal achievement. That’s why the company keeps thinking of various ways to satisfy as many persons as possible. And because Ferrari , McLaren or Porsche have already adopted the hybrid trend, it’s high time Nissan does it too.
