Toyota Proace goes racing

The British Touring Van Championship is a touring car racing series held each year in the United Kingdom. The championship was initially run with a mix of classes, divided according to engine capacity, racing simultaneously. This often meant that a driver who chose the right class could win the overall championship without any chance of overall race wins. Now, only touring vehicles take part in the contest and one of them which will try to make the best out of this competition is the Toyota Proace.

Three different touring car teams will benefit from a Toyota Proace and they will try to run it as best as possible this season in U.K. Since the car is spacious enough, it can transport up to 1.2 tons in its 7m3 loadspace. This is how the teams can carry all the necessary equipment in the van, without the help of catering wagons or trucks.

The Toyota Proace has been prepared for racing. It has been submitted to a great number of tests and to an in-depth analysis. The first adaptations to the track will be studied the following month in the Nurburing competition. Then it will be even more observed in order to make a perfect run on the British track which is programmed for July.
