2014 Maserati Ghibli goes official

The Italian company Maserati is more than just a car manufacturer. It has become a culture in terms of sports cars. The latest work is represented by the 2014 Maserati Ghibli which will be presented at the Auto China 2013 in Shanghai in just a few days, on the 20th of April. But some of the official photos and car details can already be discovered on the World Wide Web.

The 2014 Maserati Ghibli challenges the success of the Quattroporte, being a more compact and a sportier alternative to it, also having an even lower and angrier looking front end. The Ghibli will will go on the market starting the early next year. The supercar will be powered by different engines types. It comes in two V6 3.0-liter turbocharged engines and for the first time in Maserati's history, it also has a diesel engine in the form of a 3.0-liter V6 turbodiesel. All three of them will be connected to an eight-speed automatic gearbox that will work together with a rear wheel drive setup or the new optional Q4 all wheel drive system.

The dashboard of the Maserati Ghibli has more modern and aggressive elements and trim, and this is not unexpected since the new Maserati model targets to satisfy younger persons.  The company has as a future objective the selling of 50 000 units per year.
