Volvo S60 Polestar goes limited in Australia

Volvo manufactures products and services focusing on quality, safety and environmental care. Founded more than 80 years ago, a solid position and reputation worldwide has been built up over the decades. Volvo’s Polestar division that aims at providing high performance vehicles intends to release a new Volvo S60 on the Australian market.

A short teaser film made its appearance this week and it offers an idea of how the Volvo S60 Polestar will look. The sport sedan is said to be manufactured as a limited edition series in a few months. However this is just a rumor that expects confirmation.

With a great number of improved parts both on the inside and the outside, the Volvo S60 Polestar offers awesome handling, natural driving dynamics and of course the legendary Volvo comfort. Everything is based on elegance and simplicity, making the car the proud possessor of a unique design.

The original S60 Polestar was capable of outputting 508 horsepower and 524 lb ft. of torque. This limited series is thought to be a little bit gentler. Having less power, the S60 Polestar will be equipped with a six speed manual gearbox and the rear axle will be provided with an electronically limited differential.

Australia is the place where the Volvo S60 Polestar will be seen hitting the road. Why the kangaroos' continent? It remains a mystery. Still, if the vehicle will be a successful one, it will probably be taken to other markets. Until then, the model will be the most expensive car in the Volvo fleet created especially for Australia. Further information will come out in the following weeks.
