Peugeot 208 T16 race car outlined

Internationally famous with 60 million vehicles sold throughout the world, Peugeot has been combining excellence and emotion for over 200 years. It is also a well known name in the sports cars field. The company intends to compete in the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb with the new Peugeot 208 T16 race car. To make things more interesting and to increase the thrill a few teaser photos were provided to the race fans.

The teasers of the Peugeot 208 T16 allow us to notice a few things. The vehicle is build of carbon fiber, having extended side skirts and a side exiting exhaust pipe. The car has been equipped with a roof mounted air intake and a massive rear wing. It also rides on a set of Michelin tires. The inside offers a carbon fiber racing seat, a digital instrument cluster, an steering wheel wearing Alcantara leather and alloy pedals.

Peugeot 208 T16 will take part in the 2013 Pikes Peak Hill Climb where it will be driven by nine time WRC world champion Sébastien Loeb. He will run 20 km (12.4 mile) that feature 156 turns and a 1500 meter (4921 foot) elevation change. The French auto manufacturer won the competition in 1988 and in 1989 with a Peugeot 405 T16. What the Lion brand will manage to achieve this year remains to be seen on June 30 in Colorado, USA.
