Jaguar F-Type concept on the run

On the auto field there is a tight competition between car manufacturers, each of them trying to be a top brand. Jaguar is one of the most famous brands that always counter attacks its competitors’ vehicles with their own amazing cars. Jaguar is a spirit that can be found on the entire planet. Fir the time being, the company could be working on a 600 bhp Jaguar F-Type. Or at least this is what the rumors say.

The new Jaguar F-Type will be powered by a supercharged V8 5.0-liter engine. This is the same engine that the company uses on their XJRs and XKR-S GT’s. But unlike the already familiar engine type, the new model will produce about 600 bhp (447 kW). The torque will also increase from 502 lb-ft (680 Nm).

The old F-Type’s engine (old meaning from 2012) models are linked to an 8-speed Quickshift transmission. The 2013 Jaguar F-Type has been fitted with an all-aluminum double wishbone front and rear suspension and an active exhaust system. There’s also an active rear spoiler that deploys at speed in order to reduce lift by up to 120 kg (264 pounds). Some changes might also occur in these features with the future model which is scheduled to be released in 2016.

Jaguar did not confirm any of the rumors. However the company’s representatives stated that they wish to go on sale with a few limited editions. They also take into consideration more powerful variants of the V8 5.0 liter engine, this meaning the possibility of increasing the horsepower figure. Goodwood Festival of Speed is expected to be the stage where this Jaguar F-Type concept will be presented, in the final part of the current year.
