Datsun revives in countries like Indonesia, South Africa, India and Russia

Famous for the 510, Fairlady roadsters and later the Fairlady (240Z) coupes, the Datsun automobile brand is nowadays almost forgotten. But resurrection is on its way as Nissan announced since the 2012 spring that the name Datsun will revive in countries like Indonesia, South Africa, India and Russia.

The latest news reveals that a new model will be presented on July 15, this year at the Kingdom of Dreams in New Delhi. Carlos Ghosn, global CEO of Renault-Nissan, can unveil the five-door Datsun hatchback. Developed for middle-class customers the low-cost Datsun will combine functionality and style to become a best seller as the Japanese ownership targeted. With all these advantages the new model can surely be a success.

The reduced dimension of the Datsun five-door hatchback will be almost similar to a Nissan Micra. The Micra can also provide the 1.2-liter gasoline engine but with no diesel alternative. The teaser image reveals a prominent hexagonal grille that can suggest a sport look. For new updates stay close because new info will be soon released.
