The results of the 2013 Spanish Grand Prix have been announced

As most of you already know, Sebastian Alonso managed to with the 2013 Spanish Grand Prix this last Sunday. Until now, Sebastian Vettel was in the lead, but now things have changed a little. The Spanish driver was able to finish three places ahead of leader Vettel who had some problems with tire wear. He had to see how his lead to Alonso is being reduced by a factor of 13 points, to 17 points after five races of serious fighting. On the podium, when receiving the award, Alonso said that they had five races and not all ended well, but thanks to their powerful cars, the team was able to compete with some of the most powerful competitors. He also added that if he continues to do well, the team can compete for the championship. The second place was occupied by Kimi Raikkonen which is only four points behind Vettel for the championship, so it will be a very tight race. Just like any other races, the main thing drivers had to do was to manage to handle the heavily degrading Pirelli tires. A lot of people suspected that qualifying dominators Mercedes reversed down the grid in the race as they melted the Pirelli tires. On the sixth place we can find Nico Rosberg and it seems that Lewis Hamilton did not manage to gather any points. This last Sunday were counted four pit stops per driver and also nursing the disintegrating rubber in between. At the end of the day there were more than 80 pit stops for the entire race. Pirelli will try to do some changes to improve the quality of their tires so that the competitions are not ruined or limited because of the tires.
