BMW and Pininfarina team up for the BMW Gran Lusso Coupe

BMW is one of the most successful brands in the world and this is no news. Sporting and dynamic performance mated with splendid design and exclusive quality, are the main characteristics of the German name. Pininfarina is a leading Italian design house illustrated by values such as experience, creativity and innovation, with highly focus on the beauty of shapes. The two brands have just joined forces to create a Gran Lusso Coupe concept which will be presented on May 24 at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este. And until then why not torment the fans with some teaser photos?

The BMW Gran Lusso Coupe is, very probably, a preview of the new BMW 8 Series. There are high chances that the concept car will be powered by a twin-turbo 6.0-liter V12 engine that outputs 544 bhp (405 kW) and 550 lb-ft (745 Nm) of torque. It is the same engine configuration used on the 7 Series.

The BMW Gran Lusso Coupe features a long hood, and a long wheelbase suggested by the short front and rear overhangs. There is not much to say about the inner parts, as there haven’t been any hints released yet.  However the Gran Lusso must be a spectacular car, especially considering the two brands involved in its creation.
