2014 Mazda 3 teaser

Mazda targets to become a top brand in the hearts and minds of the car fans. Mazda has developed its business by providing cars that are fun to drive. In order to continue offering customers the same wonderful experience, they set a goal in developing cars that also provide excellent environmental and safety performance. One of these vehicles is the 2014 Mazda 3.

The 2014 Mazda 3 has just been teased by the company, as part of their publicity politics, exactly one night before it makes its official debut. The vehicle has been spied before by a Japanese magazine which did not hesitate publishing it. The new car has to use the manufacturer’s new Kodo design language and Skyactiv efficiency philosophy. The code named Kodo design language was first used on the Mazda CX-5 and this means a new front fascia that looses its smiling face and in some new elements that change the view of the car’s profile. When talking about the Skyactiv philosophy, the brand is planning successive launches of next generation models featuring this. The philosophy ensures greater attention to the vehicle weight and aerodynamics and the way they work together creating a more efficient and performance pack.

The teaser lacks details about the Mazda 3, so until tomorrow we can’t be sure if the spy shots were right or not. The car can be powered by a 2.0-liter SKYACTIV-G four-cylinder that outputs 155 bhp (115 kW) and 150 lb-ft (203 Nm) of torque. It could be offered with a SKYACTIV-MT six-speed manual and a SKYACTIV-Drive six-speed automatic gear box. But only New York can wipe away all uncertainties.
