A facelift version of the Audi A8 will be released this year

According to Audi, they are preparing a facelift version of the A8 model which apparently will be out for sale before the end of the year. The new model will come with LED headlights which comes come with encompass 25 high-beam LEDs clustered in groups of five with reflectors. The new system will be able to turn off or dim the LEDs as necessary depending on traffic conditions. This only means it will not require servo motors to direct light and can also work as cornering headlamps. In case you are interested to know, Matrix headlights are compatible with the Audi optional night vision system. This only means they always supply high-precision illumination and achieve the maximum possible light yield without needing a pivoting mechanism. When the light switch is set to automatic and the high-beam headlights are on, the system is activated from 30 km/h on highways and from 60 km/h on city streets. The LED headlights are capable of producing a quality of light with a special crystalline sheen. More than that, they have a very attractive and distinctive look, which is reinforced by the new appearance of the daytime running lights. The whole system manages to blank out light that would shine directly onto oncoming and proceeding vehicles, but even so it continues to cast the high beams with full power on al other zones between and beside them. Anyway, the light that the driver sees is always bright, homogenous and it is much more effective in comparison to the mechanical display dipping system developed by the competitors. Audi is trying to achieve even more spectacular results, but all step by step. These are all the details on this particular one, for the moment. Source: worldcarfans
